Dr. Bruce Peters is a board certified Facial Plastic, Head and Neck Surgeon. As such, he has had extensive training in head and neck surgery as well as facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and remains a Clinical Associate Professor at that institution. Further Fellowship training in his subspecialty interest of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami was under the tutelage of internationally renowned master facial cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Robert L. Simons helped prepare him for clinical practice. To this training he added his own artistic ability and the resulting product is a surgeon with a passion for superior results and top-quality medical care.
Since then he has been in private practice in Central New Jersey helping thousands of patients with their facial cosmetic and ear, nose and throat needs. With his excellent results and sterling reputation, he commonly gets patients from all over the region and has even had patients come from out-of-state. He keeps up with the latest surgical techniques and skillfully applies it to all his cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients.
He enjoys family life with his wife Carolyn and two wonderful daughters, Olivia and Sarah. Dr. Peters is an avid golfer and sport fisherman.
The Bey Lea Ambulatory Surgical Center serves as Dr. Peters’ outpatient and cosmetic surgical facility where he serves a s Medical Director and Co-Manager. The staff in both his office and adjacent surgicenter will welcome you with respect, compassion and privacy. He takes extra time with each patient to ensure their goals are met. He prides himself on guiding them through the entire process, from first consultation to the final postoperative visit. He has Medical Staff privileges in Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. and Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ for those patients who require overnight hospitalization.

The newest addition to Ocean Otolaryngology, Dr Christina Gillespie is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. With over 10 years of clinical experience, she takes care of both children and adults with ENT problems. She has office hours five days a week. She performs surgical procedures at both Community Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center and Bey Lea Ambulatory Surgery Center.
She attended college at Yale University where she received a BA in Biology. Upon graduation, she then attended New York Medical College. She completed her residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
After residency, Dr Gillespie moved to El Paso, Texas. For eight years, Dr Gillespie served as the Chief of the Otolaryngology Service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. She treated thousands of active duty soldiers, their children and other military beneficiaries.
After 14 years of military service, Dr Gillespie is pleased to be joining Ocean Otolaryngology. She continues to provide excellent care to children and adults. She is also active in the Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery serving on the national Media Committee.
She enjoys family life with her husband and daughter, Isabella. She is an avid tennis player and sports enthusiast. She and her family look forward to making the Jersey Shore their new home.
Dr. Stephen B. Kupferberg is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He attended Muhlenberg College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. Upon graduation he attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia in 1997. He was then appointed the chief of the section of Otolaryngology at the VAMC in Augusta. Later, he was at a private practice in both Wheaton and Rockville, Maryland for four years while his wife was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. He then moved back home to New Jersey in 2002 and has been in private practice in Toms River, New Jersey since that time.
Dr. Kupferberg is on the staff of both Community Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center-South. He is the chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at Community Medical Center. He also serves on the hospital’s Cancer Committee and is the Cancer Liaison Physician for Community Medical Center for the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Monmouth-Ocean Medical Society.
Dr. Kupferberg treats disorder of the ear, nose and throat in both adults and children. He has a special interest in diseases of the sinuses. He performs surgical procedures at Community Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center and Bey Lea Ambulatory Surgical Center.
He enjoys family life with his wife Marcia and sons Jacob and Andrew. He has been involved as a leader for several years in Boy Scout Troop 36. Dr. Kupferberg also enjoys golf, cycling and physical fitness.
